Are you planning a destination wedding or know someone who is?
If so, hire "the Joy of photography" to join you!
I'll photograph your destination wedding as well as your reception

if you choose to have one.

If you are interested in booking with "the Joy of photography"

please check the "calendar" to see if your date is

available or call the studio.  In order to book Joy as your

photographer you will need to fill out a contract and put

down a down payment; which is half the amount of the package

that you choose (including tax).  You must put down

 the full half down in order to hold your date.  Without the full

amount your date can not be held.  Please keep in

that your down payment to hold your date is NON-REFUNDABLE. 

It is a first come first serve bases.  The reason

for the downpayment is to assure the client that their wedding

date will be held for them.   

Wedding proofs take approximately 6-8 weeks to receive after

your wedding.  I take pride in my work which is why

I take time to edit through each and every wedding.  Each wedding

will receive approximately 400-800 proofs for their

wedding, depending on which package they choose.  I individually go

through each image from each wedding before

they are put online as well as put in your bound proof book. 

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact

Please keep in mind that your images all include basic retouching.

Included in basic retouching is:

Color correction
Cropping
B&W or Sepia tone
Stray hair removal

Here are the charges for any additional retouching 
that is requested:
Acne removal - $10
Air brushing - $10
Recoloring - $10
Head swaps - $20
Braces removal - $50 

PLEASE NOTE:

I photograph each client as they appear.  If you would like 
to alter the way that you or anyone else in the photograph 
looks, there will be charges applied.  Some examples would 
be removing tan marks, changing your smile, making you tan, 
making someone skinner or taller than they are, putting 
someone in a photo that isn't already in the image.  All of 
these things can be done but there will be a charge for the 
services.  Technology is a wonderful thing and so many things 
are possible, however all of it takes time, so please keep that 
in mind before the wedding.  If you would like to appear tan in 
your photos, please go tanning ahead of time. These charges 
apply per image (pose.)

The retouching charges DO NOT apply to the bridal albums

or parent books

(With the exception of anything that has a charge over $10)

All Bridal packages include 2 photographers, myself as well as my

assistant photographer, Brad.  Brad does all of the formal

photographs while I focus on all of the candid photos. 

We both photograph the ceremony and the reception.  I do all of

the photographs of the bride and groom together.  Having two

photographers is a must!  This way the formal photos go so smooth,

and you get an abundance of photographs.  While Brad does the

formal photos of the gentleman, I take the ladies and do fun photos,

then we switch!  This way the bridal party isn't sitting around waiting

for it to be their turn to be photographed.  Having two photographs

helps to capture all the candid moments that may be missed when you

only have one photographer.

4 hours of coverage, online proofing, 100 promotional

wallets, engagement session, 8x10, 4 wallets and leather bound

proof book that includes all of your proofs

Package B                                                $1750

Package A plus 2 additional hours of coverage,

(6 hours total), (2) 5x7's, custom guest book and story book

(the story book may be substituted for studio credit - $150)

Package B plus 2 additional hours of coverage (8 hours total)

and a coffee table book

Package B plus 2 additional hours of coverage

(8 hours total), hand made Italian album (made by

GraphiStudio), and 2 engraved flutes

show of album and all the proofs, 2-6x8 parent albums and and your

choice of either (4) hard cover mini books or (8) soft cover mini books

(The mini books and the parent books are the same as the bridal album,

only a smaller version)

Package E plus a hand made custom photo quilt (49x50) and a custom photo

throw pillow.  For just $150 more you can upgrade to a 70x90 quilt

(Please go to "gift idea" to view a sample of a quilt and pillow)

You can SAVE 10% off any package whether it's a pre-made

package or you create your own package when you pay in full

at the time that you book.  You can SAVE up to $455!

The engagement session that is included in all the packages is limited to in

the studio and 1 location or 2 locations, both within 15 miles of the studio. 

The session typically takes about an hour to an hour and a half.  If another

engagement session is requested there is a $75 charge unless there is

something technically wrong with the first session.

*Promotional wallets: You choose your favorite image from your engagement

session, the image is then printed as a wallet size image.  On the image will

be guidelines and your event code so that your guests can view the images

from your wedding online.  It will save you a ton of time!  This way you don't

have to call/email everyone to tell them how to see your images from you

wedding.  Planning a wedding is enough work; when it's over, you'll just want

to relax! Just remember that the promotional wallets CAN NOT be

substituted.  Also, it is the responsibility of the couple to order their

promotional wallets.

Your Engagement Portrait

Engagement photos are typically taken anywhere from one year to a few

months before your wedding day.   In addition, you have the opportunity

to get to know your photographer and become comfortable with her style.

Your photographer will also get to know you and find which poses work

best for you, as well as learn what you like and dislike. In this way, the

engagement session is a warm-up for the wedding day. When deciding

what to wear, make sure that your colors don't match those of your future

spouse but that they blend in with each other, such as different shades of

one color or a light color with a dark color. Be sure to coordinate your colors

so that they do not clash. Avoid wearing something too bright or with busy

patterns. Lastly, make sure that you wear something comfortable. If you do

not feel comfortable, then you will not look comfortable. Typically, women

wear pants/jeans with a sweater or shirt and men wear khaki pants or

jeans with a buttoned shirt.   Your choice for clothing may also depend on

the setting and your own personal preferences. You may want more formal

clothing for pictures inside but more of a dressy casual for pictures outdoors.

Or you may prefer jeans over pants since you will be dressed up for the

wedding. Your choice also depends on your own personalities. For example,

if you wear jeans and are comfortable in them, you may prefer to wear them

for your pictures. If you still cannot decide, bring several outfits with you to

your engagement session and let your photographer choose the pair that looks

best on you both as a couple.

Besides using your engagement photos for engagement announcements in the

newspaper, your pictures will be one of your first professional photo sessions

with your future spouse and a lifelong memento of your engaged days. Enjoy!

This time is for your engagement portraits.  If other family members wish to have

their portraits taken I would be glad to schedule a separate sitting at another time

for an additional cost.

* "Mess the dress" is a private session for the bride after

her wedding day.  The session may be done with the bride by

herself, with her husband, with her bridal party, however she

would like!  It's a two hour session that can be done anywhere

around town.  It's an opportunity to have beautiful images

captured in her wedding dress.  Yes, you will have beautiful

images taken the day of your wedding, but the places that

you can go for photographs the day of your wedding is limited

because of the time crunch.  This way you will have two whole

hours to just relax and have some fun in your dress! Go splash

around in some water, go horse back riding, whatever you want

to do! *  The session is $350 and comes with a bound book

filled with your favorite images from the photo shoot.

not just getting a photographer, you're getting a friend. 

I go above and beyond to make sure that your wedding day

is as relaxed and as fun as possible.As an extra perk to

having me as your wedding photographer I have a "Spoil

my brides"event every winter for my brides.  It's my

way of thanking my brides for their business.  It also gives

me an opportunity to get to know my brides better.  I feel

if I know my brides better, I can do a better job capturing

the "true you" on your wedding day.  The ladies really enjoyed

being spoiled.    The rest of the details will be given to all of

my brides when the day approaches.
